The advantage is that fruit distribution is still relatively clustered, so transportation is more efficient. Besides that, it can prevent jealousy between harvesters, because random can be swapped/played from one round to the next. The drawback is that the harvester’s responsibility for randomness is relatively low, and violations are still somewhat difficult to detect, due to random number changes, so supervisory oversight should be more stringent.
